SILVA ANNOUNCES PLANS TO SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE PAY FOR EANES’ TEACHERS
Entrepreneur and CEO vows to take Eanes to the Next Level of Excellence
West Lake Hills, Texas - Today, candidate Aaron Silva announced a series of policy proposals to retain and reward Eanes’ great teachers. In recent years, Eanes ISD’s rate for teachers leaving the district has been steadily increasing, surpassing 20% in 2023.
“Over the past six years we’ve been dangerously close to the same attrition rate as Austin ISD, who ended 2023 with the loss of 32%, nearly one-third, of its teacher workforce,” said Silva. “I have a vision for the best and most high performing teachers to make $100,000 or more per year,” Silva announced.

According to Silva, his teacher pay proposals for teachers must include compensation principles and incentives to ensure the most highly qualified and performing teachers are paid much more than they currently make. This would help to keep teachers at Eanes, and in the district, and would serve as a recruitment tool to get the best teachers in the country to come to Eanes.
The other four planks of Silva’s Campaign focus on building community trust, forging partnerships with parents, achieving excellence in the classroom, and bringing an entrepreneur’s eye to the budget. Silva’s campaign will release policy proposals for each plank that will be actionable on Day One of his service on the Board of Trustees.

Silva said, “as I thought about putting myself out there to become a member of the Eanes Board of Trustees, I told myself I would be completely transparent with the public about what I believe the priorities of the board should be and what I would propose starting on day one of my term. By avoiding hollow campaign slogans and giving you real substance, you will have the information you need to cast an informed vote and hold me accountable once elected.”
